NEWLY SINGLE, a meta dark comedy.
After driving his girlfriend to leave him, Astor re-enters the LA dating scene, only to find himself becoming more and more abrasive as his insecurities continue feeding his fears. A film about loneliness, bitterness, and the mad, sad desire to be loved.

NEWLY SINGLE is a movie about disillusion, self-destruction, and clinging to the past in order to feel like one has a place in this world. In that sense, it’s a reflection on changing male/female identity, and the underlying tension, frustration, and futility behind non-acceptance of change. In a comical sense, this is being presented in front of a meditation on the current state of male/female dating in America, and more specifically in a metropolis like Los Angeles, where one interacts with millions of other single people, and where it’s likely that one will never run into someone ever again after ending a brief period of dating.
